The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of 2018 is a regulation in European Union (EU) law.

The GDPR specifies how personal data of EU users should be lawfully processed (including how it’s collected, used, protected or interacted with in general).

This regulation is applicable if you have any users in an EU member state (which is means this can apply to business located outside of the EU).
